どうぶつしょうぎ」は、女流棋士の北尾琴音さんが子どもたちに将棋を普及させるために考案したもので、女流棋士の藤田麻衣子さんがイラストとデザインを担当しています。2012年、クッキー「たべっ子どうぶつ」は、大人気の協力型ゲームと。
駒は4種類のみを使用。"ライオン"、"ゾウ"、"キリン"、"ニワトリ "です。ライオンや動物を捕まえる。
動物と対戦する1人用モードの他に、家族や友達を登録して対戦するモードもあります。
アプリケーションには、ひらがなの文字や大きなブロックが使われており、子どもやお年寄りにも使いやすいように配慮されています。将棋の初心者でも安心して遊べます。
