The game is single-player mode (Wii and Xbox 360 for multiplayer) mainly, and the player has to control the protagonist is a 15-year-old teenager: James Jimmy Hopkins, and a series of activities in the campus. Players will be given specific rewards for each task they complete. (For example: money, safe house, new maps, etc.). The city in the game is named Bullworth, Bullworth is divided into five areas in the map: Bullworth Academy, Old Bullworth Vale, Bullworth Twon, New Coventry and and Blue Skies Industrial Area ( Blue Skies Industrial Area). In the initial stages of the game, the player can only be in the Brooks Academy activities. But as the story progresses, the player's activities are not limited to the Bullworth Academy. When class time arrives, the player can control the protagonist to go to class or skip class, and each course will give the protagonist new skills, (for example: after learning English, you can apologize to the principal at the office, so as not to be punished. After learning chemistry class, you can make firecrackers, bite bombs and itching powder to play pranks.) In addition, players can have romantic relationships with NPC characters and unlock new actions: giving gifts or or kissing each other. The alert value is with the upper right corner of the screen, the color of the color appearing inside represents different levels of alert. If a player commits a series of violations in the game (e.g., fighting, skipping classes, violating traffic laws, etc.), the alert level will be raised. The higher the alert level, the stronger the number of officers on duty and their ability to arrest. Players can control the protagonist to escape from the search range of the officers or hide in the garbage cans and other acts to escape from the pursuit. If the protagonist is arrested by the officers, they will take the protagonist to the office to receive criticism and punishment from the principal. However, in some cases the protagonist can escape punishment such as the protagonist because of the excellent performance of a subject and favored by the subject teacher, the teacher will plead with the principal, so that the protagonist successfully escape punishment.
