The warlord of the planet Kree, the Final Demon, has brainwashed the heroes and villains of the Marvel multiverse into his own minions in order to conquer the world. The Special Tactical Reserve for Interdimensional Key Events (S.T.R.I.K.E.), a division of S.H.I.E.L.D., recruits a diverse group of Marvel heroes and villains to form a response team to fight these brainwashed heroes and villains to stop the ambitions of the Final Demon.

Campaign Mode

The main campaign

You can use your campaign energy to battle through the levels and gain resources (money, items, characters and equipment pieces). There are currently five chapters, including: "Hero Rally" (only hero characters can be used), "Villains United" (only villain characters can be used), "The Hub" (all characters can be used), and "Universe". characters), "Cosmic Conflict" (access to all cosmic characters) and "Mystic Force Rising" (access to all mystic characters).

Legendary Battles

There are currently a total of nine Legendary Battles, which occur on a rotating basis for a limited period of time. To obtain a Legendary Character for the Legendary Battles, you need to have five of a given character type and most of them must have five or more yellow stars to win in order to obtain a Legendary Character. These include: Iron Man, Star-Lord, Nick Fury, Magneto, Surya, Phoenix, Invisible Woman, Black Batman, and Ebony Throat.

Special Event Battles

Special Event battles are limited to a specific period of time, where you can obtain pieces of new characters in addition to reinforcing the original main storyline.

Flash Event Battles

There are currently four types of regular resource battles, which will occur once a month on most Fridays starting in May 2020 (previously they were offered irregularly). These include.
